Breakthrough near in Honduras crisis: @ http://tinyurl.com/lhw6gl
ReplyDelete.."UN Insiders suggested that a timetable had been laid out in which Zelaya, a rich landowner whose leftist policies led him to become a close ally of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, would return to his country as early as next week. He would be allowed to complete his term as president through to January in return for making clear he has no intention of seeking to extend his rule"...
This a rhetorical question on your header, right?
ReplyDeleteMilitary Coup or Democratic Procedure? An exploration of the removal of President Manuel Zelaya.
I'll answer with anoth rhetorical question: Is this, or is this not Article #239 of Honduras' constitution?
Article 239 — No citizen that has already served as head of the Executive Branch can be President or Vice-President.
Whoever violates this law or proposes its reform, as well as those that support such violation directly or indirectly, will immediately cease in their functions and will be unable to hold any public office for a period of 10 years.
Question asked, and answered.
